About WACCBIP

Yaw Aniweh

Dr. Yaw Aniweh is a Senior Research Fellow at WACCBIP. He had served as Crick-African Network Fellow between WACCBIP and Francis Crick Institute, UK.

He was one of the first Postdoctoral Fellows of the WACCBIP-DELTAS programme at WACCBIP, University of Ghana. He has a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology from the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a B.Sc Laboratory Technology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

His research focuses on understanding host-pathogen interactions, disease pathogenesis, Drug and vaccine target discovery, diagnostics and delineating the DNA-damage-Response-Repair pathway in Plasmodium species.
